Family Home Evening with Jamil and Jael

Mi Familia!!!!!

Hey guys!! Well it sounds like you guys had one crazy week just like always haha. Tate bummer on the knee bro. I don't know what more to say than just to keep your head up and do everything you do to protect that sucker. We will all be praying for you and trust me you will be back in no time!! Dad keep up the running and soccer playing. Just because you're old now doesn't mean that you can get lazy on me haha. Also we played soccer today, all of the missionaries in our zone, and everyone was telling me that I should play soccer back in the good ole USA and not lacrosse so I think I'm gonna make the switch hahaha;) And my Perry Marie, so glad that you had a great weekend and that you showed your whole class a picture of me with eggs smashed on my head haha. Just be ready for when I get home because I will be smashing eggs on your head!! Crazy that Mt. View graduated this week haha makes me feel a little bit old!!

Ok so this week for me was a great one but also a tough one. Lets just start out with the bad news. R has moved. He has really been struggling with the Word of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity in these last few weeks and he just didn't want to talk to us or anyone so he packed up and moved to the other side of Piura to live with his dad. I was seriously heartbroken. Right when he needed our help more than ever he packed up and took off without saying anything to us. So I really don't know what to do because nobody knows where his dad is living so please just pray for R so much to find the church again and to be safe. He needs us and our prayers more than ever right now.

So now for the better news. First off I got my package a few days ago and I am currently rocking my beyond sweet zebra tie!! Thanks so much for all of the stuff and especially all of the pictures of my family and friends saying happy birthday!! I loved all the pictures except the one of the dogs of satan and yes I am talking about the dogs of the Carson family so Mother Shelly if you are reading this I just want you to know the first thing I am going to do when I get home is kick Axel and Torro hahaha!!! But it really was a great, late birthday present haha so thanks fam!!!!

These last 2 weeks we have been focusing like crazy on finding and teaching families and getting them to the temple and it is paying off!! We have found 5 new families that are pumped to learn more about the gospel!! Some of them are seriously ready for baptism just waiting for a few more things to work out. So please pray for the familia de Omar y Margarita, la familia de Erdwin, la familia Navaro, la familia de Josemar, and another familia Navaro!! We are also planning on baptising this week but were still not totally sure it may be next week but please pray for hermana Maria Viera. Also we are working with a new investigator named Carlo. We is 22 and he lives with his family and his grandma. His grandma is member of the church and one day she was sick so she called me to give her a blessing of health and it was a crazy strong experience. After our blessing she was seriously healed. She got right up and started walking like nothing was wrong and she had been crazy sick, like she could barely walk for weeks, and after our blessing she just got right up and started walking and talking. Carlo saw the whole thing and he was shocked. He asked us to come by and teach him about the gospel so now we are teaching him and he is going to church so I think we are going to baptise him very soon. So also pray for him!!

Our F.H.E went great this week. We have taught 2 of them now with basically the same group of people and we already have like 2 of them that want to be baptised!! Gino is helping us so much in the work it is amazing!! Trust me when I get home we will be changing some serious stuff about our F.H.E hahaha.

Ok well that's all for this week. Ohhhh ya Elders Spencer and Mooring both had transfers this week and they are now both in my area!! The triangle of Truth is now back in action and going hard!! I was so excited to see those two fools and am looking forward to working with them in the mission field.

Also I have a question for dad. For my new ATM card do I need to call the number to set it up? Because I suck at speaking english now hahaha. But really I need to know the details about the cards.

I love you all so dang much and I am so happy and so blessed to be a part of this family. I hope you know that I am doing this work for you. The work of the Lord will never be easy because it was never easy for Christ but if we do it with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength the blessings much over weigh the struggles. I love this work so much and I am working on becoming a better missionary every day and really becoming a tool in the hands of the Lord. I love you all so much and I hope you have an amazing week!! I am always praying for you!!

Much Love

Elder Wilson

Monday. May 18. 2015-Week 41

Skyping with our missionary on Mother's Day! It was so great to see him and talk with him! We love Elder Wilson!!

Mi Familia!!

Well I don't know if I can say it sounds like it was a good week because it didn't sound too great but I'm glad to hear that you are all still alive haha!! Mom what the heck did you do to yourself!? You know you are officially old when you can't even do some sweet dance moves in the kitchen any more!! I remember when dad and Tate and I would do our little jumping attack things on you when you were cooking and you would just freak out hahahaha good times!!! But I really do hope that you are feeling better!!

Ok asides from all of that the week sounds good. I hope that Tate will be able to play this weekend in state cup and that he can kick some serious butt!! And if they have to close his growth plates that's fine by me hahaha;) Cant have my "little" brother passing me up by too much!! Perry, awesome job in your soccer game!! 3 goals now that's my girl!! Dad great job playing mom for the week. That's not an easy job but you gotta do what you gotta do to take care of the fam.

Well lax is over:( Mt. View and BYU both done.......I don't like to hear that. But now they've just got one more year to survive without me haha;)

This week here in the mission was awesome!! We are really focused on finding new families to teach right now because what could be better than getting a family on track to go to the temple and to be eternal!! We were searching and asking people in our ward and then BAM!! All of a sudden this week we find 4 amazing families!!!! They are all amazing and are way interested in our message!! The first family is the family Sanchez. The second the family Olalla. The thrid is the family of Josemar and the last is the family Navaro. Such an answer to my prayers and we are hoping to get like 15 baptisms this next month by baptising them all!! What a wonderful blessing it is to work with families. I can feel the love that they have for one another and I have the ability to help them be forever!! Wow I love mission work so much!!

So you heard from Gino all about our noche de hogar (FHE). It was awesome!!! So awesome!!! Gino invited a bunch of his friends and family and some of his students and we sang and shared scriptures and taught an amazing lesson about Joseph Smith and his first vision. They had millions of questions but I answered them all and the spirit was just so strong!! Gino has a sister that is not active in the church but is a member. Her boy friend came to the family home evening and he loved it. After it was all over he told us that he has been doing bad in work and a few other things were going on and he just wasn't feeling good so we offered him a blessing of comfort and that was one amazing experience. I don't remember a word that was said but when we finished he was crying and just overcome with the spirit. He later told the sister of Gino (Sandra) that he wants to be baptised!! The Lord works in crazy ways and one of those ways is through FHE so never stop doing it!! Also I have an invitation for you all. This next week in FHE I challenge you all to invite a non member friend or maybe even a non member family to participate in FHE. I don't care how you do it but you need to share a message and have prayers and hymns and all of it!! Trust me. They will feel the spirit and they will want to hear more. So I want to hear a report on that next week!!

So that's about all for this week. All is going well. Elder Gonzales is getting fat hahahahaahaa!! I am so so so so so so happy. And ya that's about it.

I know there are a ton of people getting ready to leave for missions right now in the great state of Idaho and I hope you are all reading this. The mission is the best decision that you could ever make in your whole life. You will never regret serving it because you will love every moment of it. Prepare yourselves while the call comes and you will be powerful tools in the hands of the Lord!! This is His work and we are on the front lines!!

Ok that's all. I love you guys so much and hope you have an amazing week!! I'm always praying for you!!

Much love

Elder Asher Dean Wilson

He couldn't resist making faces at us!! ;)

Motherrrrrr!!!

Today has been crazy and I really can't email today. I am sorry but that's just the way it is haha. All is well and I am just working my tail off out here in the wild of Peru!! I love this work more than anything else in the world....ok maybe besides you guys....and I hope you know it!! I love you all, I love lacrosse and a lot of other things but if I had the chance to do it again I wouldn't change a thing. This is the work of the Lord and nothing is more important than it, even shreddin it up on the lax field!! Ok gotta go but I love you all and am always praying for you!! READ YOUR BOOK OF MORMON!!! I promise that if we can read that book daily and apply it to our lives (1 nephi 19:23) we will receive the pure love and revelation of Christ in our lives on the daily!! Te amo mama y espero que puedas sentir mi amor tan lejos en Idaho!! Talk to you soon.

Much Love

Monday. May 4. 2015-Week 39

Making lasagna.

Mi Familia

Well it sounds like another great week in the Wilson house!! All the normal stuff but you guys are just always going. Thanks for the email about the BYU vs. Nebraska football game......I'm dying just thinking about missing that one!!!! But great to hear that my BYU lax boys are taking it to the world!! Were going to be champions this year and when I get back for the next 4 years!!!!!

Ok so now a little bit about Skype for this week. We will be at Gino´s house this Sunday at like 3 in the afternoon (so 2 your time) but Elder Gonzales will be talking first so I'm thinking I should be calling you guys at like 4 45 or 5ish (so like 3 45 or 4ish for you guys) and we will be able to talk for like 1 hour or something like that. When I'm ready I'll shoot you a message on the Facebook of Gino. Excited to talk!! But you will be seeing me with a buzz cut because all the Elders in our district shaved it all off today because its soooo dang hot!!!! So get ready for that haha.

So today for P Day our whole district went over to Gino´s house to cook lunch and to cut our hair haha. We ended up cooking lasagna and it was awesome!! Really super good and I also realized that I like mushrooms today because we put a bunch of them in it haha. Gino and I led the show and did some serious cooking!! I'm telling you guys one new thing that I've learned here on the mission is how to cook!! You can just call me chef Elder Wilson now;) But me being me made enough lasagna for all of Piura so I think we are going to eat lasagna for dinner tonight...and tomorrow.......and possibly the next day hahaha. But ya we don't do a ton for P day but we just try to find things to do to pass the time. But we did go on an awesome run and had a killer gym sesh this morning!!!

So this week was another great one. We started off the week normal como siempre with teaching and contacting and all of that good stuff but on Tuesday we had interviews with Presidente Rowley and they were awesome!!! I love getting some time to talk one on one with that man because he is so dang full of the spirit. We just got in there and laid it all down on the table and trust me I left that room feeling refreshed. We talked about a ton of stuff but his focus was on hard work. He told me that there really aren't too many people in this world that know how to work and work hard but he said that I am currently teaching this mission how to work. I was very honored to hear that from him and it really made me think of how much more I could be doing. I love to work and I think I always will but sometimes when you have a million things to do every second it's hard to focus on everything. I am now an experienced missionary and am really going to try and focus more and more every day in completing with every phase of the work of the Lord. This also made me feel good and that I am really completing with the will of the Lord for me. His work and His glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man and my work and my glory is to be a tool in his hands to bring this work to pass. I will never stop working and I will never let the Lord down. So ya all in all it was a great interview but wow it was really sad because this is the last interview I will ever have with Presidente Rowley:( He is going to take off right about when I have 11 months so my next one on one interview will be with Presidente Rassmunsen. I am way excited to meet the new presidente but I am going to miss presidente Rowley so dang much because he has really helped me to change my life and to become a true servant of Christ.

We are currently teaching a few investigators. 2 women named Carla Carasco and Maria Atoche and they are progressing very quickly and we are hoping to see them being baptised in this month. We are still teaching Viviana Viera and she is getting so much better and completing with our invitations!! She is a tough case but is finally feeling the spirit. Someone really amazing that we came across like 2 weeks ago is called Marcos Maldinola. He is 18 and is currently studying in the university. He is reading and progressing like crazy!! The only problem is that he has a huge German Sheppard named Max who is crazy and always wants to attack. I am used to this so I just go right on in but Elder Gonzales seriously runs from this dog because it is a giant so the other day me and Max had some serious talking and like a crazy stare down and I think he has finally accepted us as part of his family hahahaha. I don't know if it's exactly like that but now he isn't attacking us anymore so that's a start!! So these are a few of our investigators and it would be awesome if you guys could send some prayers their ways because they are felt.

So we baptised 2 kids this week and completed another family here in our area. It was easily one of my best baptisms of my mission. It was seriously such a spiritual experience. They both picked me to baptise them so I did it and the baptism of Jael (the tiny one) went great but after I had to baptise Jamil (the huge one). I did totally fine on my part but wow Jamil went crazy under the water and let a bunch of water in his nose and stuck his foot up out of the water so we had to calm him down (he is really super nervous) and baptise him again. The second attempt went great and after it was all over let me tell you there were a lot of teary eyes in that room. I know exactly why the job of a missionary is to baptise because we are truly bringing such happiness and joy into the lives of others and more than that we are helping them to receive their salvation. This is nothing easy, trust me, but when you walk down into the waters of baptism with these people that you love it is just something different. I really don't have the words to describe it but I know with all of my heart that the spirit is there guiding us and patting us on the back saying good job. I have felt my Savior's love through these baptisms and I now have such a strong testimony that He loves every one of us so dang much!!! He really does have a huge party in Heaven when one of His children choose to return to the correct path and for that reason it is always going to be our responsibility to help them see the light. I love the work of the Lord and I am so happy and really so blessed to be a part of His grand plan here in this life and so are you. Never let a moment go by without sharing what you know because you never know who is watching or listening and how your testimony could change their lives!!

Ok well that's all I've got for this week but I'm freaking pumped to talk to you guys in a few days!! Have your questions ready and I will do the best that I can to answer them in my broken English haha. I love you guys so much and I hope you can feel it all the way back at home. I know that we are part of the true church and that no matter what changes we may see in this world at this time and in the future this church and the ways of the Lord will never change so just follow Him. Put everything else to the side and just follow Him with all you heart and soul and you will be incredibly blessed. Thanks for everything. I love you all so much!! Jungle Cat out!!

Much Love
